My answer:- Who are your favorite poets?
I absolutely love Pablo Neruda. I really need to get a book with all his poems because they will always hold a spot within my heart. Plus, the little I knew about the man makes me smile. For example, he wrote in green ink to symbolize hope. If You Forget Me and Brown and Agile Child are two of my favorites.
- Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
To be honest I don’t think I ever had one, or if I did he isn’t coming to my mind. I don’t really read books with a male lead (unless it’s alternating chapters). There isn’t any male, anymore, that I hold above all else either. So, at this moment in time, I don’t have one.
- Who are your favorite heroines of fiction?
At the moment I really love Gaia from the Birthmarked series, Rhine from the Chemical Garden series, Lana from the Delirium series, Katniss from Hunger Games, and, of course, Buffy Summers. That’s just to name a few. If I was truly to answer this question, it would be a five page long answer.
- Who are your favorite composers?
Classical? Mozart, Bach, Debussy, Beethoven, and Chopin
- Who are your favorite painters?
I absolutely am in love with Frida Kahlo, Amanda Grevette, Kate Hansen, and Katie Berggren. These women all have a slightly common theme that I truly am in love with. I also enjoy the work of many famous artists such as Van Gogh, Matisse, Andy Warhol, and don’t let me forget Gustav Klimt! I love his work. I am always interested in work that features women with children, birth, breastfeeding, and a historic view on the roles of many woman. I’m the type of person who owns the huge art books filled with every painting throughout history.
- Who are your heroes in real life?
I used to say my mother, but that isn’t true. She is dead. She tried her best but a lot of times she was unsuccessful. I could easily compare her to Katniss’ mother during her depression, except my mother succumb to drugs and it was me to take care of our little family. So, I can easily say that I am my hero today. I am the one who has always forced myself to take that foot forward, even when I felt I couldn’t go forward anymore. I was the one to truly support myself after my suicide attempt that left me in a coma for a few days, icu for a few mores, and the hospital for a week. I’m proud of surviving this world. I’m my very own Katniss. My support heros would easily be Devon, her mother, and characters in books and television shows (refer to my heroines). I also want to add my closest friends on tumblr and in real life.
- Who are your favorite heroines of history?
I want to say something cliche like Joan of Arc, but to be honest, I can’t think of one right now. I’ll have to get back at you with that one.
- What are your favorite names?
If I should have a child right now, these are the names I would choose from: Ezra, Ingrid (Inga), Avery, Beatrice, Astrid, Agnes, Alma, Grita, Siobhan (for boy, sasha my be nickname), Geeta, Matteo, Vincenzo. I know there is a whole lot more to that list. I love classic and antique names that hold a lot of meaning for the child. I also love traditional Hindu (or Middle Eastern) names like Krishna, Anju, Aditya, Ahmed, Bodhi, Anya, Aditi, Amir, Lakshmi, Geeta, Uma, Fatima, Yousef, and Amit. I absolutely love names with meaning but strong in a way.
- What is it you most dislike?
When people can’t talk to me about an issue but can go around to forty different people complaining I didn’t do something (or did something) a way they didn’t like. If you would just come talk to me, we can work it out. That simple.
- What historical figures do you most despise?
There’s too many to write but always know that they had to be assholes to have helped created our history. As amazing it would be to have a world without them, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to grow and learn from their wrong doings.
- What event in military history do you most admire?
Honestly, I don’t know. Probably something that was unbelievably clever.
